Sunoikisis-Drama Course Planning Weekend

DSCN1419Sunoikisis is excited to announce its 2016 course in translation! The course topic will be Greek drama and comedy, focusing specifically on the work of Euripides.

A course planning weekend for Sunoikisis-Drama (Euripides) will be held at the Center for Hellenic Studies on November 7, 2015. During this weekend, faculty will work collaboratively to design and craft the course which will then be offered to students in the spring semester of 2016.

If you are thinking about joining us that weekend, are thinking about offering the course, or have any questions at all, please contact Ryan Fowler via our contact form for more information.

Sunoikisis has been offering inter-institutional spring courses in translation for the last two years: so far, one on the Iliad, and one on the Odyssey. These courses draw from the method and materials found in Gregory Nagy’s very successful HeroesX course, as well as others.

More information can be found on the Courses in Translation page.

As a point of reference, faculty from the following institutions offered the 2015 Sunoikisis-Odyssey course: Agnes Scott College, Carthage College, Concordia College, Howard University, Southwestern University, University of Findlay, University of Maryland, and Warren Wilson College.
